Frequently Asked Questions Expand all | Close all
- Why should I build my house with your product?
- There are many reasons. Energy efficiency, environmental impact, cost savings. See the Features and Benefits page for more information.
- What is R-Value and how much is offered from your panels?
- Insulation is rated in terms of thermal resistance, called R-value, which indicates the resistance to heat flow. The higher the R-value, the greater the resistance of heat flow (insulating effectiveness). The R-value of thermal insulation depends on the type of material, its thickness, and its density. In calculating the R-value of a multi-layered installation, the R-values of the individual layers are added.
We use 5" thick slaps of EPS that have a true R value of R-20. Type 11 EPS foam will provide an R value of 4+ per inch. - Can I use my own drawings with your product?
- Yes. We can build the panels to fit almost any application. We will check your drawings for any special considerations needed for the wall panels.
- Is using PPS more expensive than convention construction?
- In terms of on site assembly the Perfect Panel System is in a class in its own. Typically built out in 1 day or less and is comparable to stick framing in cost of material and labour; however the final product will surpass stick framing in quality and time of construction. You really cannot compare PPS to stick framing. For a more detailed comparison of Wood-frame construction and Perfect Panel Systems, Click HERE.
- Where do you build?
- Currently we build throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.
- Can I be a distributor?
- Yes! Visit the Contact Us page to send us an e-mail.

Wood-Frame Construction VS. Perfect Panel Systems
Construction TimeHighly labor intensive work results in longer construction time. |
![]() |
Construction TimeOur panels are based on the simple concept of interlocking blocks. This produces a simple to install system which can decrease construction time. |
Energy EfficiencyTypical wood-frame walls provide an overall thermal resistance of about R-16. |
![]() |
Energy EfficiencyPerfect Panel Systems' wall panels have an true R value of R-30+. |
Sound ResistanceWalls easily transmit loud noises inside. |
![]() |
Sound ResistancePerfect Panel Systems' wall panels are up to 3X more sound resistant, giving your family the peace and quiet they deserve. |
Indoor Air QualityAllows easy passage of outdoor dust and pollen inside. |
![]() |
Indoor Air QualityPerfect Panel Systems' wall panels feature an impenetrable wall surface, preventing the passage of airborne particles like dust and pollen. The air inside a Perfect Panel Systems' home not only feels fresher, it is also cleaner. |
Fire ResistanceWood frame walls can have a fire resistance of just minutes. |
![]() |
Fire ResistancePerfect Panel Systems' wall panels are made of non-combustible materials. |
Wind ResistanceWood frame walls can buckle under high winds caused by hurricanes and tornadoes. |
![]() |
Wind ResistanceUp to 8.5 times stronger than a conventional wood-framed wall, Perfect Panel Systems' wall panels are much better able to withstand the damaging effects brought on by strong winds. |
Mold ResistanceMildew and mold find wood an ideal breeding ground for their spores. |
![]() |
Mold ResistanceWith no gaps inside the walls where moisture can collect, mold and mildew growth can't get a foothold as they can with wood-framed walls. |
Higher MaintenanceOver time, wood frame homes can be expensive to maintain due to their organic character. |

Lasting ValueWith Perfect Panel Systems you receive state-of-the-art building technology that continues to pay back throughout the lifetime of the home. |
Heavier WeightThe weight of wood construction could cause breakdown of foundation walls and footings. The weight for wood construction would be 5lbs/sq ft or 2.3 kg/sq ft. |
![]() |
Light WeightThe wall system is made of light weight material which will preserve the foundation walls and footings. The weight for Perfect Panel Systems' walls is 2lbs/sq ft or 0.9kg/sq ft. |
